Johnson & Johnson LLP has filed another complaint for sexual assault against British media mogul Nigel Lythgoe.
The complaint, filed on February 17, 2024, in Los Angeles Superior Court, asserts claims for sexual assault and battery, gender violence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress stemming from Mr. Lythgoe's sexual assault of a woman he met at a Beverly Hills hotel while she was there to have dinner with friends and family. Reminiscent of prior claims against Mr. Lythgoe, the present complaint alleges that Mr. Lythgoe offered to give Jane Doe (who has chosen to protect her identity) a ride to her residence, but instead forcibly kissed, groped, and digitally penetrated her while Mr. Lythgoe's driver drove around Beverly Hills with Ms. Doe confined in his vehicle.
“It is troubling to hear of yet another alleged incident of a woman being taken advantage of and abused by a prominent public figure,” said Melissa N. Eubanks, Senior Counsel with Johnson & Johnson, LLP, in a statement made after the filing of the complaint. “We are proud to represent Jane Doe and humbled by her courage, and the courage of many other women, to come forward with her story in hopes of ending such egregious misconduct by persons of fame, celebrity, influence, and power.”
