Hyura Choi is a senior counsel at Johnson & Johnson LLP. Ms. Choi is a seasoned attorney with deep experience in civil litigation and appellate practice, securing meaningful wins for clients ranging from high‑net‑worth individuals and start-ups to hedge funds and public companies. She most recently served as senior in-house counsel at a global REIT, where she led strategy on high‑stakes disputes, managed complex portfolios of outside counsel, and advised senior leadership on emerging regulatory and legislative developments while building cross‑functional compliance frameworks. A litigator at heart, she has returned to the work she loves most: litigation.

Ms. Choi received her J.D. from UCLA School of Law and she received her B.A. from Yale University. Ms. Choi externed at the US District Court, and the California Court of Appeal.

Devised a successful arbitration strategy for construction defect claims on behalf of a developer against the New York City Transit Authority and collected the resulting $14.4 million award, defeating multiple appellate challenges

Secured reversal of an adverse $5 million jury verdict in a trade secret case for a defendant dietary supplement distributor.

Secured reversal of summary judgment in a trade secret and breach of NDA case for a plaintiff software startup against a major technology company.

Second-chaired an arbitration involving fraud and breach of fiduciary duty claims against trust beneficiaries; secured an $11 million award for a hedge fund client.
